Kim Kardashian Wedding To Kris Humphries Will Be A Two Hour Special

Kim Kardashian wants the exact same cake as Kate Middleton.

Hey everyone this is Nora Gasparian for Hollyscoop. Kim Kardashian is really serious about having her wedding to Kris Humphries be like a royal affair.

Kim Kardashian is reportedly she’s copying pieces of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s royal wedding because she wants her wedding to be over the top.

It’s actually funny that she wants it to be so over the top when Kate Middleton wanted it to be so simple.

The cake will cost a reported $15,000-20,000 which will probably be donated.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries will tie the knot on August 20 but don’t worry in true Kardashian fashion, there will be two hour wedding special planned that will air in October.

Honda recall about 1.5 million vehicles due to stalls,Shifting Problem

Honda recall about 1.5 million vehicles due to stalls..Honda Motor Co. will recall 1.51 million vehicles in the United States to address complaints of engine stalls and vehicles shifting out of park.
Honda will update software that controls the automatic transmission to ease the transition between gears and prevent damage after it has seen 113 claims, including 45 for engine stalls and 11 claims for vehicles moving shifting out of park.

The recall includes 1.5 million vehicles in the United States, 760,000 in China and 135,142 in Canada, the automaker said on Friday.

Globally, the recall affects four-cylinder Accord sedans for the model years 2005 to 2010.

The company is also recalling vehicles in parts of Europe, the Middle East, South America, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The recall did not affect vehicles sold in Honda’s home Japan market.

In the US and Canada, the recall also includes the CR-V crossover for the model years 2007 to 2010 as well as the small SUV Element from 2005 to 2008.

In China, the recall also includes more than 160,000 Odyssey minivans from 2005 to 2009 and around 4,000 Spirior cars, which are based on the European version of the Accord, for the 2010 model year.

Without updating the software, the automatic transmission in these vehicles could be damaged if the driver quickly shifts between gears. That might cause the engine to stall or make it difficult to put the car into park.

This week, Consumer Reports said it was not recommending the 2012 Honda Civic. This has led some industry analysts to ask if that is a symptom of larger problems at the automaker, which ranks fifth in US sales this year.

The company has said it disagreed with the influential US consumer advocate’s assessment.

Chris Martin, Honda spokesman at the company’s US headquarters in California, said on Friday that the recall was not a sign of deeper difficulties.

Martin said the current recall was the result of “extremely unusual circumstances. The far majority of our consumers would never really encounter this. It’s software programing. It’s not a weakness in the transmission per se.”

No injuries or deaths have been reported from this problem, Martin said.

Honda said the problems might arise if the transmission were quickly shifted between the reverse, neutral and drive positions. A driver might do this in an attempt to dislodge a vehicle in mud or snow.

The automatic transmission secondary shaft bearing could be damaged in this scenario.

An update to transmission control module software will ease the transition between gears and reduce the possibility of damage.

Honda will begin informing US consumers at the end of August. It did not disclose expected cost of the recall.

The software update will take about a half-hour, but customers may have to leave their cars at Honda dealerships for a longer period, Martin said.

Food maker Kraft Foods Inc.

Food maker Kraft Foods Inc said it would split itself into two listed companies, comprising its global snacks business and its North American grocery business.

Kraft is the latest in a host of companies that have moved to separate their disparate operations, including Fortune Brands, Sara Lee and ITT.

The maker of Cadbury chocolate bars, Oreo cookies and Velveeta cheese said it would spin off its North American grocery business to its shareholders.

The grocery business — which would have annual revenue of about $16 billion — would include its U.S. beverages, cheese and convenient meals with brands like Maxwell House coffee and Jell-O desserts.

The Global snacks companies will consist of its Europe and Developing Markets units and its North American snacks and confectionery businesses.

The company — with annual sales of $32 billion — will have brands like Oreo cookies and Cadbury.

It aims to complete the spin off by the end of 2012, Kraft said in a statement.

Separately, Kraft raised its full-year outlook as it reported better-than-expected quarterly results due to higher prices of its brands.

Hightower Police Academy RIP

It’s pretty lousy when people from the Police Academy films start dying. Not only did they teach Cassandra from Wayne’s World how to speak English, but they also provided a whole bunch of puerile laughs for plebs like us.

And one of the main dudes in the film franchise – Bubba Smith, who played Hightower – has joined the choir invisible and left us all feeling really, really old.

Bubba (great name) was an American football star before finding fame in the movies, has died at the age of 66.

Bubba will be having a rather large coffin, coming in at an impressive 6ft 7in (or a whole 2 metres if you prefer). In his time as a football player, he won the ’71 Super Bowl with the Baltimore Colts before moving into acting.
While some will remember him in the defensive end of the Colts, Raiders or Oilers line-ups, the most of us will remember him as gentle giant, Moses Hightower.

Bubba started out with small gigs in shows like Wonder Woman, Taxi (greatest theme tune ever) and Charlie’s Angels before joining the recruits in the first Police Academy movie in 1984.

Hightower was a regular in the flicks, basically on-hand to be either too-big for cars, being a nice guy, wrestling animals or generally lifting up really heavy things which made people’s eyes continually pop-out in astonishment.

Basically, he was a cartoon hulk who did the same things over and over just like we all wanted.

Smith was found dead at his home in Los Angeles and the cause of death has not been confirmed. It isn’t suspicious so we don’t really need to know what happened.

In tribute, go to YouTube and watch the video where he drives an old Honda while getting his driving lessons. Absolutely splendid.
