Des Alwi Dies

National figures Des Alwi died on Friday (12/11) at around 5:00 pm in Jakarta.

"I had heard from Mr aide Try Soetrisno (former Wapres.Red) and I will go to the funeral home," said a member of the Eminent Persons Group (EPG) Indonesia-Malaysia, Musni Umar, when contacted by AFP, said here on Friday.

He has not actually know the cause of death of Des Alwi and he is currently heading the funeral home.

"Mr Des Alwi with me are both sat as members of the EPG, so I'm pretty close with him," he said.

Des Alwi was born in Banda Naira, 17 November 1927. In Jakarta, he became known as high-level lobbyists and public symbol of Banda.

Some people judge, Des Alwi expertise in terms of lobbying, to get the nickname of a high-level lobbyists, from national to international officials that one of them the result of the habit of associating with leaders of political prisoners exiled to Banda.

December a lot to learn from dr. Tjipto Mangunkusumo he called Oom Tjip, Dr. Mohammad Hatta, who called the Glass Eye Oom, Oom Sjahrir as RIR, Mr. Iwa Kusuma Sumantri and several other members of the Indonesian Islamic Sarekat.
