Head of Sub Directorate of Criminal Investigation Directorate General Resmob Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Heryawan Herry said the case was revealed the abduction and confinement of the victim sent an email to his son.
"Victims are sent an email to his son who is 12 years, preaching that he held at the hotel by the suspect," said Herry told reporters at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Sunday (09/04/2011).
Herry said, as long as 6 days held captive by the suspect, the victim was not allowed to contact his family by telephone. The victim then informs the suspect that he was being held captive by email in French on 3 September 2011.
Child victims and then notifies the content of the email to the victim's husband. While the victim's husband who knew that then have recourse to the French Embassy in Indonesia.
"Through the French Embassy, the victim's husband asked for help to us, so we follow up the report," said Herry.
While the suspects eventually learned that the victim is communicating with family via email, then slammed the victim until the broken laptop. The suspect also persecute the victim to have bruises all over his body.
"The victim was hit in the left eye so that the black eye and hand and body bruises are also victims," said Herry.
Police received the report and then track down the suspect. Successfully secured the suspect and victim in a hotel in Bandung, West Java.
"His motive, suspects wanted the victim's property," said Herry.
Head of Public Relations Jakarta Police Commissioner Baharudin Djafar said the case was a police attention because of the direct request of the French Embassy in Indonesia.
"It became atesnsi leader because of the embassy requesting that WN France there is a wife kidnapped at the airport," said Baharudin.
