JAKARTA Government of Bekasi, West Java, ensure Bagasse Prasetyo, 2.6
years old, a resident of Housing BTN Masnaga, Jakamulya Village, South
Bekasi District, died from the bird flu virus or H5N1.
"It was the observation of doctors and follow-up care at the hospital said Bagasse positive for bird flu," said the mayor of Bekasi, Rahmat Effendi, after visiting the funeral home on Wednesday.
According to him, the death of Bagasse on Wednesday (19/6) at 08.00 am at the Friendship Hospital, is the discovery of the first case of bird flu occurred in the local area time.
"Case Bagasse is the first time we know occurred in the city of Bekasi have officially conveyed through the results of Research and Development (R & D) of the Ministry of Health," he said.
Grace is said, the case will be the main focus of handling it through the relevant agencies in order to avoid the plague. "We know the impact of this virus is extraordinary. Teams we need to evaluate, do not let this incident categorized incredible," he said.
